The L-308S offers the latest in component technology and precise calibrationfor accurate digital exposures. Software enhancements now offer the photographer a choice of Full, 1/2 or 1/3 step selectable aperture settings to display data just the way today's digital camera does. With 1/10th of a stop measurement and read out, accurate and consistent exposures are a snap for D-SLRs or point and shoot digital cameras. The LCD panel has also been improved for better readability.

This pocket-sized precision instrument allows you to monitor not only wind speed, average wind speed and maximum wind speed but also temperature and wind chill. As soon as you take the 2000 out of its protective casing and press the on button. Wind chill is calculated from wind and temperature data using the U.S. National Weather Service's official tables and temperature and wind chill can be displayed in Fahrenheit or Centigrade. The measuring modes and display units on the Kestrel 2000 can be changed at any time and all functions are controlled with only two buttons with choices to suit a wide variety of applications such as knots, meters per second, kilometers per hour, etc. Its special compact design is also water-proof and floats.
